Fasting Secret Number One | You Must Overcome Yourself

Below is an excerpt from chapter one of my book, Fasting Secrets Revealed | Breakthrough Fasting.

I want you to have that strong miracle faith. Jesus wants you to have that strong miracle faith. The way we get it is by pushing back the plate and seeking his face. We are not seeking power but direction, boldness, faith, and humility. Praying and fasting are more about the relationship than anything. When our old man is dead, we can hear from God. Our flesh is that veil, like the veil of the temple in Matthew chapter 27 that separated the holy place from the most holy place. As Jesus' body was ripped to shreds on the cross, our flesh needs to be ripped to shreds, so to speak by fasting and prayer. If we die with him, we can live with him. If we humble ourselves, he will exalt us in due time. The "easy believeism" and microwave Christianity have deceived millions. There is no bypass, no circumventing of the miraculous, it still takes fasting with prayer. You can get miracles without fasting, and get prayers answered but, as Jesus said, "this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting". Some things will not happen without it. It is easy to say, well it must not be the will of God, and let it go. We can miss so many miracles, healings, and deliverances because we will not push back the plate. We do not want to pray the all-night prayer meetings. Why then expect significant results when we have not given a noble sacrifice. Yes, Jesus paid the great sacrifice, but there is a price to pay for great faith.

Learn to Fast  Your entire life can be blessed by the teachings found in the Bible. The subject of fasting is quite amazing and complex throughout scripture. I have written extensively about fasting in my book entitled " Fasting Secrets Revealed | Breakthrough Fasting ".  One secret is about the mustard seed. The common teaching about mustard seed faith is about the "size" of faith. It is believed that Jesus was saying that with a small amount of faith, great miracles can happen.
