When Jesus talked about closet praying, He meant what He said. There is an open reward for those that pray secretly. Your ability to stay with God in prayer will affect your faith. Too many never pray in their “closet”. They are too busy. Prayer for them is the spare tire. It is the flare in the trunk in case they break down one day. Prayer should be our compass, our steering wheel. Praying on your way to work is good but it is not a closet. Your closet could be your basement, your attic or for most, it is their bedroom. A place of seclusion and privacy. Importunity may be the single most important point in prayer. Without it, prayer can be of a lazy value. It may be sleepy and without faith. You...
